Mom–

Just a quick note to let you know that I am most certainly NOT dead. I’ve walked about 185 miles in the wilderness and am currently cooling my heels in the town of Stratton. I’m headed out this morning to the trail but may be in touch when I get to Rangeley about 40 miles south of here.
